This can be a little trickier, as buying a friend a break to a spa resort is a really kind gesture, so they may think that you are after something, and if they are of the opposite sex then they may feel like you are trying to hit on them. You should only really buy a friend something like this if they specifically ask for it.

 

Colleague

Once again you have to leverage the fine line between a present and flirting, if a person at work purchased you a spa break then you would be thankful, but also think that it was quite weird, because people in this day and age just do not do stuff like that.
