Where do gamers go?

The choices you have as a gamer are:

Buy (Online, Ebay, used, Gamestop..)

Rent (Gamefly, blockbuster…)

Trade (Goozex, Switchplanet..)

Renting in the past at your brick and mortar rental place can easily set you back more then $5-$7 every week like Blockbuster. There have been other online rental game sites that charge a monthly fee like /month for one game out like Gamefly. Renting is a solution but you spend more time with games than movies. Much more time is needed for videogames than movies. Most movies range from 1.5 hours to epics of 6 hours. Where most videogames you could get a good feel for a game in 3 hours but most sports games and long role playing games could be played for more then 70 hours.

This is where Goozex steps in. Goozex allows the gamer to keep the game as long as you want but have the option to sell it too. There is only a $1 transaction fee if you request a game on their network. So basically you can trade in your older games and build up Goozex credit until you get enough for a newer title and just pay the $1 transaction fee. All shipping costs are handled by the sender so if you are requesting a game you only pay the and not the shipping and handling. No membership fees so no need to feel you need to use the system. This is ideal in the sense that you could play the game until you are actually sick of it then send it in for credit. So you’re not rushed to get as many games played on the network because you can play at your own pace. Plus you OWN the game. At that point it is yours.

You only send games directly to the next member. There is no single central warehouse and the pricing of the credits of the system are in points (100pts = $5). The pricing of the game is determined by market demand, release date, initial cost of the game, and a couple other factors. Most xbox 360 titles will go for 800-1000 pts which translates to $40-$50. This isn’t bad for a used game. Some money can be saved buying used but there is still tax and travel time/cost. Goozex gives you free shipping to you with no tax charge. You also have an option to buy credits if you want but I wouldn’t recommend that unless you have no games to send in or nothing of yours is being requested. Price fluctuations occur and you can see the points swings. I’ve had a couple games I requested and I can see that price increase/decrease. It doesn’t happen that much but some games change +/- 200pts depending on market demand.

So why use Goozex instead of a used videogame store or an auction site with games like Ebay? You just need $1 to pay for the transaction fee. Most people don’t like to continually shell out more money for a game and then feel like the games they bought are depreciating at a very fast rate. Selling your game for cash anywhere will not give you that much. Brick and mortar stores resell your games for a huge mark up. Selling it online at an auction site will incur fees and you still have to pay for shipping. Goozex at least you get to trade in games you are done with and still get some value out of it as it will lead to other games you really want. There might be more difficulty in sending older sports titles as those don’t have much demand once their season is up like trying to sending in EA sports Madden 2005 will be a hard game to sell to someone on the network. Older games on ebay are a hassle to sell. On Goozex you will be able to list it and it will just stay there without having to pay insertion fees.

Each videogame is packed with information like reviews from Gamepro, some tips/trick, game description, and some even have instructions. The best feature is the ability to see how many copies of a game are listed on the network verses how many are being requested. This will let you know if you have a game people want or if you can possibly get a game on the network. Goozex determines who gets the game by matching up users. There is a waiting list that is generated and when you add a game you will see in what place you are waiting for that game. This is a fabulous idea as impatient gamers can tell if they should expect a game soon. You need to make a list for want and haves for your games. They will show you your place in line per game. Great place to build your wishlist. Building a large list ensures some games will continue to come to you. I requested Crackdown and I was like 60 people back. Turns out I got the game in less then 2 weeks. Just because you’re really deep in line doesn’t mean you won’t get the game soon. Newer games do get pushed out in the system fairly quickly. You have the option of trading just the game, the game with instructions, or the full package that includes case and instructions. Some people tend to not keep cases or instructions. The value of the game doesn’t go down as the credits don’t reflect what is included. This is because the user requesting the game can have the option to request only full packaged games, games with instructions, or just the game itself. I have not had a problem with getting full packages as I’ve gotten over 49 games and I’ve sent out 54 in under 2 years of being there.

Why NOT to use

For this site to be a perfect 5 star site I would like to see:

1. More users (will there ever be enough?)
2. More old school games (nes, snes, saturn….)
3. is still not free. I’m a member of another site that has no transaction fees yet still protects the members.
4. Sneak peak video game trailers
5. More community interaction (user reviews, recommendations…)

All the above are small tweaks to the system that is already very functional. The main reason someone would NOT want to use this system is time and money. If you have the dough you would just buy it new down the street? Why wait? The main draw to the site is how much money you can save and the community there. Save money and also connect with other gamers. If your very impatient then new release games will have to be purchased. Most new release games takes on average of 1-2 months. Why? You are placed on a Que. The order of the Que determines when you get the new game, but more importantly is how many are available? Most people will play a new release for a certain amount of time before listing their games. That could be more time than one might want to wait. Say you want a popular game that normally runs 40 hours to complete. You gotta factor in that a player like me would take over 1 month to beat a game like that. More popular games of course like Madden will hit the system quicker but that is also a bad thing. If you hold a game too long it will depreciate in value just like on the streets. Trading for early on might be for 1000 points but in a couple months with the market being saturated it could be 500 points in no time losing half of it’s value. Not Goozex’s fault but some games just don’t move well.

Current Goozex Simultaneous Transaction on the Network as of Mar 11, 2009 = 4793

David artsmith - You can buy inexpensive decorative wall clocks at eBay auctions. Ebay is the biggest internet auction site in the world, which means that there are a ton of sellers offering clocks ina wide variety of styles. The platform allows you to search, filter and obtain clocks of your choice without walking the shops in the midday sun.

You can buy decorative clocks suitable for your kitchen, living room or hall ways from eBay. There are several varieties including antique, vintage and modern. But buying clocks on eBay requires a little tact. There are a lot of factors you have to consider in order to get the best deal that you possibly can. We take a look at the few, simple things you can do to get decorative clocks that work and at prices that fit your budget.

The first thing you should do is determine what you need the clock for, function should always win out over form. Are you buying for collection purposes or for your home use? The purpose will determine the search terms to use and how low or high you will bid on the auction.

The next step is to use the eBay search tool to find the decorative wall clocks. It is enough to type only the keywords as the tool is smart enough to bring up all synonyms and similar items. After the display of the search result you will use the price filter tool at the left hand side to filter down by price.

When doinga search, you will recieve brief listing descriptions, with a small picture of each of the clocks offered, and the ability to click a link and see a larger, fuller description. The description will afford you the opportunity to assess the clock for its suitability as a home appliance or collectible item. If you do not find anything clear, you can use the email tool at the right hand side of the screen to ask the seller questions. Aside from clarifications, you may also ask the seller whether the product is original, preowned, faulty or refurbished. You will also need to ask about secured packaging so your product does not arrive damaged.

You will have to assure yourself about the quality of the clocks you are buying. If it is not so obvious from the picture or description, you will need to know if the clock you are buying is in a working condition. If it is a pendulum clock, ask about the key. Antique decorative wall clocks present a special risk. You will have to be sure whether they are originals or remodeled versions. The fact that the description says it was made in 1927 does not necessarily mean it is that old. Often the seller will be talking about the time of the design, or the period it is styled after, or even when the movements were first invented. Again, look at the larger picture of the clock for scratches or any defect that devalues the clock.

You will also need to view the overall seller’s feedback about how he sells his pieces. Particularly look for comments that complain about slow shipping, unsuitable items or non shipment. If you see that a seller has a bevy of negative reviews than you may want to shy away from purchasing from them.

You can now confidently buy your decorative wall clocks from eBay.

There are few musical artists in the last century which have been as important as Paul McCartney. Popular music in the last fifty years can almost all be directly traced to the music created by Paul McCartney and his three band mates in the most famous pop band of all time, The Beatles. John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr completed the rest of the group. The music created by this band completely revolutionized the popular music industry, and is not only among the most influential, but also the most covered music that has ever been created.

Paul McCartney’s story starts in Liverpool in 1940. From humble beginnings in a poor, working class town, he has gone on to become the person who is generally considered to be the most successful musician of all time. He has sold over a hundred million singles, and has over 60 gold records. During those early years in Liverpool he met George Harrison in 1954, and a few years later he would meet John Lennon. Once these three began to play music together, history began to unfold in front of them.

In 1962 the band would take its legendary form after the firing of Pete Best and the hiring of Ringo Star. On October 5th, 1962, “Love Me Do” was released, and after that The Beatles quickly shot to international stardom to become the most successful band of all time.

Despite having written some of the most famous songs of all time with The Beatles and John Lennon, such as “Yesterday” “All you Need is Love”, and “ Hey Jude”, McCartney proved himself able to go on and have a vital and thriving solo career after the break-up of the band in the early seventies.

Although performing and writing music has remained an important part of Paul McCartney’s career in the last several years, but he has increasingly focused his attention on his political causes and a variety of causes. He has publicly promoted the vegetarian lifestyle for many years now and fights extremely hard for animal rights. One of the most common places to find Paul McCartney over the last several years has been playing at a variety of benefits and aid concerts to raise money for various international causes. His vast amount of star power has been one of the major contributing factors to many concerts and benefits being able to raise huge amounts of money for a wide variety of causes.

Igor Stravinsky was born in 1882 and raised in St. Petersburg where his love for music was kindled at the age of 8 after seeing a performance of Tchaikovsky’s ballet, “The Sleeping Beauty”. Throughout his life, Stravinsky would travel the world. This included spending significant portions of his life and career in places such as Switzerland, France, and finally in the United States where he would live out the rest of his life. During his time living in the U.S. he resided in the Los Angeles area but later chose to make the move to New York City, where he passed away in 1971.

The work of Stravinsky has continued to be influential and important in the realms of composition and classical music, and is broken into three large categories of work. The Russian period is generally thought to consist of the work which he created between the years of 1908 and 1919. Significant work from this period included three ballets that he composed; which include L’Oiseau de Feu, Petrushka, and The Rite of Spring. This period is also noted for a riot which was caused by the premiere of the first of those ballets in 1913.

The next period in his career was significantly longer, and runs from roughly 1920 to 1954. This period is characterized by his attention which was turned to the music of the classical period. He spent time working with the material of Mozart and Bach. The music he wrote in this period was characterized of sparser arrangements than that of his earlier work, which typically employed extremely large and full orchestras, as opposed to the Neoclassical work which was much more typically using wind orchestration with a piano, as well as choral arrangements.

The final period of his career started in 1953, and is known as the serial period. He turned to a type of composition which included dodecaphony. This is a twelve tone method that was created by Shoenberg. Interestingly enough, these two lived very near to each other during this period in L.A., but they never became friends or spent much time together. The compositions from this time such as Cantata, Septet, and Three Songs from Shakespeare were composed with serial techniques which were NOT twelve-tone based.

Stravinsky contributed many innovations to the field and his particular use of rhythm and of the large orchestra were both considered innovations of the time. His compositional techniques during all of his significant musical periods have provided significant influence on both his contemporaries and on those who have come afterwards.

Wisconsin is a favorite Midwest location, because of its blend of outdoor and indoor activities that are fun for just about anybody. This large state is the home to the city of Milwaukee, the beauty of the Great Lakes, and the home of the National Football League’s Green Bay Packers.

Finally, Wisconsin is also home to a bevy of casinos. There are at least ten different Wisconsin casinos within the state and all boasts its own slate of amenities. The Bad River Lodge and Casino, located in Odanah, has slot machines, table games, video poker and a solon. This Wisconsin casino is on the Bad River Chippewa Reservation. The HoChunk Casino Wisconsin, located in Baraboo, is similar to the Bad River Casino. It also features a smattering of table games, video poker and slot machines. This Wisconsin casino is run by the Ho-Chunk nation and features a bingo hall, which is a profitable amenity.

This is one of the several Wisconsin casinos that offer dining and hotel accommodations. The Rainbow Casino, located in Nekoosa, is similar to this facility with offerings of video poker, table games and slots. It is also a Ho-Chunk Casino, as is the Majestic Coniferous tree Casino Bingo and Hotel, located in Black River Falls. The Oneida Bingo and Casino is in Green Bay. This is one of the bigger of the Wisconsin casinos, it claims to be the largest facility in the entire state. This Wisconsin casino is actually made of two different complexes; one of which is referred to the as the ?old? casino and one that is called the ?new? casino. This mega-casino features dining and entertainment options as well as a separate ?poker room? where numerous tournaments are held year-round.

The St. Croix Casino and Hotel, located in Turtle Lake, is owned by the St. Croix Tribe. This large building is open all night, seven days a week and features more than 1,000 slot machines.
